Just in time for the winter season, we inaugurated our new fireplaces designed and built by the bavarian fireplace company Brunner (http://www.brunner.de/) at Direktorenhaus.

Firerplaces at Direktorenhaus - Since December 2011 we are proud to see 7 brand new fireplaces every day at Direktorenhaus. Why that? The idea in regards to the exhibition of a new culture binding fire and warmthsprung out of a pragmatic call of the winter: the old house on the spree, which is part of the old mint coin, does not possess a heating system - the past winters have been too cold.

From the 1st of September to the 31st of March, Direktorenhaus presents 'Poultry Poetry', an exhibition of the collaborative artists Husmann Tschäni. Opening of "New Textile Craft", a group exhibition of 4 young textile designers: Signe Emdal (Kopenhagen), Hao-Ni Tsai (London), Ruth Duff (Glasgow) and Izumi Sato (Stockholm).

Victor is a series of wooden shelves which is designed for home and commercial use. It represents a warm companion with a special character in every environment. The shelves are offered in several sizes, all of them can be flat packed for easy transport. A variety of different woods and upholstered panels in lots of colours are available.

Opening of "Materiality" at the Direktorenhaus in Berlin - a solo show of Benjamin Hubert and a group exhibition of a young generation of highly regarded designers including among others Carnovsky, Daniel Becker, David de Moutis, Ralf Frickel, Jetske Visser Alessandro Grassi and Lutz Könecke.
